Toy store hits back at Kelly Clarkson 'Pretty Woman' treatment claims
Brooklyn toy store Art of Play has responded after Kelly Clarkson claimed staff treated her poorly and assumed she could not afford their items.
Clarkson posted on X comparing her experience at the shop to Julia Roberts' character in Pretty Woman after a failed visit.
The store clarified that Clarkson had inquired about purchasing 'Molly', a one-of-a-kind automaton permanently attached to the wall that is not for sale.
Art of Play expressed surprise at facing widespread online backlash from millions of people following the singer's comments.
The shop stated it hopes to clear things up with Clarkson, ending their statement with a reference to her hit single What Doesn't Kill You.
