Corruption Crackdown – ₹500 and ₹1000 Notes discontinued!

4Live now, PM Modi declares discontinuation of ₹500 & ₹1000 notes! He addresses the extreme Black Money and Corruption issue today and in lieu of rectifying the situation has decided to discontinue the ₹500 & ₹1000 PRESENTLY IN USE notes starting midnight, tonite.


The government is allowing the exchange of notes until 30th December, at nearest banks and even post offices. RBI is about to issue newly designed ₹2000 notes. There is a cap of ₹20,000 on the exchange in a week.

Only Rs 100, 50, 10, 2,1 notes are valid until the new notes roll out.

Addressing the situation raised at the BRICS summit, PM Modi strikes back at Corruption.

Additionally, the banks will be closed on November 9.
