2016 will be remembered as one of the worst years in Samsung’s smartphone business. After a couple of explosion cases of Samsung’s premium Galaxy S7 smartphones, Samsung has issued a pre-emptive statement.
Samsung states – “Samsung stands behind the quality and safety of the Galaxy S7 family. There have been no confirmed cases of internal battery failures with these devices among the more than 10 million devices being used by consumers in the United States; however, we have confirmed a number of instances caused by severe external damage. Until Samsung is able to obtain and examine any device, it is impossible to determine the true cause of any incident“.
Previously, Samsung started sending pop-up messages to Galaxy S7 customers reassuring them that their Galaxy S7 units were safe and that there was no recall for their devices.
We wish Samsung best of luck for its future launches. And we even hope that such events don’t occur again.
