Reliance Jio Blamed Again; This time by Vodafone!

Telecom major Vodafone aid competitive pressures in India with free services offered by new entrant Reliance Jio and the impact of demonetisation on prepaid top-ups led to a nearly two percent drop in its service revenue from the country.

The company also confirmed merger talks with the Aditya Birla Groups Idea Cellular as part of its third-quarter results for the period that ended on December 31, 2016.

In India, the service revenue for the Vodafone declined by 1.9 per cent due to Reliance Jio’s free voice and data services.
