Punjab: Pathankot on High Alert after suspicious men spotted near Indo-Pak Border

Punjab: Pathankot has been on high alert after three men were spotted roaming suspiciously in a car near the Indo-Pak border in Punjab on Wednesday night. The sources said that 3 men were seen suspiciously roaming in a car, which raised suspicion in the locals following which they chased the car. The 3 men then fled after locking the car, near the Pathankot’s Pharwal village. The car was with a Jammu and Kashmir registration number and had no nameplate.

“There was a specific input about the presence of some suspicious men roaming in the area. A massive search operation has been launched in the area. Some areas have been cordoned off on Pathankot-Dalhousie road to locate suspects,” said the police.

Heavily armed terrorists had sneaked into Pathankot in January this year to attack the IAF base.
