Honda has unveiled a new generation of its Rebel motorcycles, debuting the all-new 2017 Rebel 300 and 2017 Honda Rebel 500 in the US and we just can’t wait when it’s going to land in India. Who would’ve expected it to unleash an absolute beast after the kind of bikes it ranges in.
It holds a special place in the hearts of countless fans as their first motorcycle while the new generation models would even cater a bigger audience than ever. As of now, the company has not announced anything regarding the launch of Rebel 300/500 in India.
The entry-level model is the Rebel 300, powered by the CBR300’s 286cc, single-cylinder, water-cooled engine. The Rebel 500 gets the liquid-cooled parallel twin from the CBR500, which makes around 45bhp and 44Nm of torque. Both engines are four-valve, DOHC, fuel injected engines which have been retuned for better low-end grunt.
The new Rebel makes perfect sense for a market like India, with this segment dominated by the hugely successful Avenger!
