Google Play added Netbanking as new payment option for app purchases

Android Users in India! Now you can buy apps, movies, books and music from all the Google apps from the Play Store even if you don’t have credit, debit or gift cards.

Google has started rolling out another payment method for payment “Netbanking”, which is suitable for a wide range of users in India. This feature is made available to the users after Google has partnered with 38 major banks in the country.

You can go the Play Store and check if you already have the Net Banking option. Click on Accounts, choose the payment methods and tap on the ‘+’ button at the bottom right to add the new payment option. If you have Add Netbanking as an option, click on it and see if your bank is listed.

The Net Banking option can be also set as the default payment option.

The net banking payment option on Google Play comes soon after Google released a report saying that Indians are among the likeliest groups to pay for digital content and apps.
