Flipkart has announced that they have sold more and higher valued products than its rival e-commerce sites during the festive season sale.
Amazon, which claimed on Wednesday that it sold 15 million units during the same period, has been defeated by Flipkart. Going by the calculations, Flipkart has sold 15.5 million units of its products during the 5-day festive sale.
According to a report by Economics Times, Smartphones and televisions helped boost the value of goods sold by Flipkart to $500 million as revealed by company executives, on the condition of anonymity.
Binny Bansal, the CEO of Flipkart, said the massive performance during the sale was due to the improvement of company’s marketing, customer experience and technology as well as better ability in handling the surge in traffic on the portal, mobile website and application.
