Exemption on Tolls extended till November 24

After dropping an atom bomb on the Indian Economy, PM Modi had earlier extended the National Highway Toll Exemption till 18th November. Although there is almost a crisis situation in India and the real picture of suffering has come out, PM Modi has decided to stand by his decision. However, certain measures have been taken to relieve the people suffering from the demonetization.

PM Modi has decided to extend the Exemption on NH Tolls until November 24th. The government on Thursday extended the date for toll fee exemption on National Highways till the midnight of November 24 to ensure smooth flow of traffic.

It had earlier announced to keep the toll collection in abeyance until November 11 midnight which was later extended to November 14 and then November 18.

The decision has been taken to ensure smooth traffic flow across all National Highways and provide relief to the cash-starved people lining up outside banks and ATMs after Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes were demonetized. The government’s earlier decision to accept the withdrawn notes at toll plazas till November 11 midnight led to chaos in the absence of adequate change, causing massive traffic snarls.
