The heroine makes a come back into his life with a terminal disease
The 2 hours 38 minutes felt like a remade version of Rockstar, but this time by Karan Johar.
The lead actors – Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma were a treat to watch because of their on-screen friendly banter. However, when the mature and independent Alizeh (Anushka Sharma) decided to marry her ex-boyfriend Ali (Fawad Khan), leaving behind our immature, innocent hero Ayan Sayengar (Ranbir Kapoor), then Ranbir Kapoor does what he does best – becomes a star – who sings with a pain in his voice!!
After Alizeh’s marriage, Ayan has a short-term fling with Saba (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan) to get over her. Saba is a divorcee poetess, who is a sexy, smart and respectable lady.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan gave poetry to the movie in the second half and earned the tag of a “walking talking Ghalib” by Ayan.
Fawad Khan’s screentime was kept really short, however, he managed to attract the audience with his charm. There were special appearances by Alia Bhatt and Shahrukh Khan in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, who did justice to their short roles!
The dialogues in the movie are interesting as there is a lot of “Gyan” given at an interval of almost every 10 minutes. Since it is a Karan Johar movie, the melodious songs are an integral part of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
Even though this movie will give you the feel of the movie Rockstar in short intervals, but the only difference you will feel is that you will leave the movie theater with a positive and smiling face in contrast with Rockstar’s climax which made you feel sad!!
