5 Habits to ‘Give Up’ for increasing Productivity

There are times when it is hard for us to efficiently as well as effectively complete a task. In short, the productivity is low. So, here I have compiled a list of 5 major habits which you must get rid of, if you want to get an edge over your existing self! Read on:

1. Spending a lot of time on Social media

Social media has become an integral part of our lives as it keeps us updated about our near and dear ones’ lives, also lets us share our lives with them. However, there should be a limit put on by us for checking it. For increasing productivity, a phone notification must not distract us while performing a task. Developing this type of control might be hard for the beginners but when you avoid these distractions, you will feel a genuine increase in the productivity.

2. No physical exercise

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy – this is entirely true. A physical activity refreshes the mind and body, hence, increasing concentration and productivity. Having no time to work-out is an excuse. It is no big deal to make it a priority to devote at least 20 minutes from a day to physical well-being.

3. Negativity

Make it a point to let go of all the negative people who let you down. Instead of dealing with them and wasting your energy, focus on the positives around you. Feeling positive gives you inner happiness and peace, which is significant for increasing productivity.

4. No routine

The absence of a routine from life leads to confusion. It is important to have a fixed time to hit the bed, as well as get out of the bed. Similarly, every task must be accompanied with deadlines, which must be adhered to. Following the basic time-table of life leaves a huge impact on the productiveness of an individual.

5. Unhealthy meals

A regular dose of junk food not only makes you lazy, drowsy and unhealthy, it also affects your productivity. Having a healthy meal on a regular basis fills you up with energy and enables you to take better decisions, thus, making you more productive.
