Paytm has alleged that some of the customers have cheated them for over Rs. 6.15 Lakh. The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered a case against the customers.
According to Paytm, over 48 customers have cheated them. The company has also named a number of officials from the One97 Communications, which is the parent company of Paytm.
How did the customers cheat?
The company in their complaint said that they have a policy of paying the customers for the damaged products and later arranges a pick up for the damaged product. The company also has a customer care centre who supervise the entire process and make sure the customers get a refund for damaged products. They also assist in arranging pick ups. It is alleged that the company found that in 48 cases customers had received refunds even though the delivery of orders was made successfully to them.
The company policy says that the customers are not eligible for a refund if the product has been successfully delivered. Paytm in their complaint stated that these customers had “illegally” procured money.
