18 of 43 McDonald’s Outlets Reopened in New Delhi

In June, 43 McDonald’s outlets operated by Connaught Plaza Restaurants Ltd (CPRL) were closed after the expiry of eating house license.

In what comes as a respite to the foodie fans, McDonald’s estranged partner Vikram Bakshi on Tuesday re-opened 18 out of the closed 43 outlets.

The development follows a decision by the board of Connaught Plaza Restaurants Ltd (CPRL), which passed a resolution on September 17 to reopen 21 outlets for which health licenses have since been received, Bakshi said in a statement.

McDonald’s had terminated its agreement with equal joint venture partner CPRL on August 21, stating that CPRL would not be authorised to use the McDonald’s branding, trademark, design and marketing policy rights within 15 days of the termination notice, starting September 6.
